Marimekko Store Opening

How excited were we to receive this beautiful envelope full of good news??!!

The 100th Marimekko store worldwide, at 66 King Street Sydney, is in a beautiful art deco building and was the venue for the grand opening. Marimekko lived up to its reputation with a bold, bright and fun evening.

Just in case we weren’t sure where to go, we were drawn in by the streetscape of bold Marimekko fabrics and furniture.

The new design destination has also opened in Melbourne at 576 Chapel Street.

We love the Marimekko textiles and we use them to make all sorts of interior soft furnishings, cushions, throws, curtains, blinds, quilts and lampshades.

Inside the store we were so excited to see that all of their latest fashion and home accessories were on display. The room was not only adorned with their beautiful textiles and products, but also a steady stream of party goers dressed in the latest and some vintage Marimekko fashions.

Welcome to the old/new kid on the block!
