Marimekko cushion class

Image

Today we held our very first cushion class devoted specifically to Marimekko fabric. Everyone selected their choice of Marimekko fabric and contrasting binding… Unsurprisingly, given the number of beautiful Marimekko fabric choices, not one person chose the same fabric!

Using our foolproof “Recipe for a Piped Cushion”, the ladies made their own piping, attached it to their cushion front and then sewed the front to the back of the cushion, finally adding the zip.

This is a fun class for someone wanting to learn how to make cushions… you leave the class not only with a beautiful, completed Marimekko cushion, you leave with the “recipe” to make more cushions. We love that we’re sending our clients away with new skills and the tricks they need to make more cushions…

Thanks to the lovely ladies who attended today’s class, we hope that we’ve inspired you to make more beautiful cushions…

Happy sewing!!!
