Bright hand embroideries…

The most beautiful collection of hand embroidered cushions has hit our stores. These cushions are hand embroidered by the Otomi community from San Pablito in Mexico. As these are hand stitched cushions, each one is unique. The designs are beautifully vibrant in colour, perfect for the coming summer season! The designs depict animals such as birds, insects, flowers, deers and hares. These cushions and designs are the traditional folk art of the Otomi community and symbolise man living in harmony with nature. The designs apparently come from prehistoric wall paintings and predate the Spanish conquistadors. The cushions are 100% cotton thread on 100% cotton muslin.
