Celebrating Osborne & Little and Nina Campbell

Clockwise from left: Our Woollahra window, Osborne & Little ‘Bukhara’ in Stone/Purple, ‘Soumak’ in Purplie Multi, ‘Oriole’ in Lilac, ‘Kayyam’ in Lavender/Grey, ‘Kayyam’ in Chartreuse/Grey, Nina Campbell ‘Braemar’ in Sand/Multi.

Lisa Llavero has brought together collections from Osborne & Little and Nina Campbell, two powerhouses in textile design, to design our Woollahra window display. These collections of good quality fabric and their combinations of buttery yellows with rich amethyst and a touch of charcoal bring a combination of sophistication coupled with whimsy and a little bit of fun.

Whilst their design influences are very different, these two collections work together very successfully. Osborne & Little’s collection of good quality fabrics evoke the glamour and mystery of ancient Persia and the Mediterranean, with a collection of embroidered linens, crisp printed cotton and woven silks, while Nina Campbell’s collection takes its inspiration from the celebrations and picnics set against the romantic lochside castles and houses of Scotland.

The Osborne & Little palette of pink, purple, denim, turquoise and chartreuse work beautifully with Nina Campbell’s palette of aqua, magenta, cranberry, tomato, sapphire and sage combined with calming tones of sand, linen, stone and taupe.

What we love most about these collections is not just their beautiful, painterly designs and their detailed weaves, we love how versatile they are. These designs can be incorporated into so many palettes. Lisa has brought in Megan Park, colourful Otomi embroideries, our own Peony Garden in Cerise/Taupe, Temple Door in Graphite as well as some Florence Broadhurst and Designers Guild and some beautiful ikat quilts.
